India Post has gone techie! on 7th May 2012, India post opend and SBI net payment gateway for transactions.
I created a postal account and logged in. The signing up is secure. It will demand you to enter the PIN sent to your mobile and email provided in the registration.
I bought philately stamps and i recieved a call from Delhi enquiring about my transaction. I replied to their short question.
I was given a transaction number, and i could trace my order.
On the 13th May, my order was delivered. The order list was included and all the stamps were intact and check list was complete.
Stanps were well packed and not folded.
I was surprized at the working proceedure. The bill was counter signed by 2 people, the asst post master and the counter clerk. the qunatity matched
today, even when simple stamps are sold at a very high premium, epost selling philately stamps via internet is welcome .
